Project Jk09_2013: Case Study :
Elementary School Strengthens Student's 21st Century Skills
Students at Seoul Wonshin Elementary School in Seoul, South Korea, were struggling to focus on their schoolwork, which led to poor class participation and concetration. The students also needed to be more engaged with material that would encourage creativity, self-directed learning, and development of critical-thinking skills-all essential elements in 1 21st century education. Intel brought in a team of professionals to consult with teachers at the elementary school and develop a comprehensive education solution. The team included Professor Sung Ho Kwon of Hanyang University; Yong Shin Kim, a professional education consultant; and researchers from Intel Education. With eh help of the teachers, the team developed a smart classroom solution that included changes in three key areas: ICT, curriculum and assessment, and professional development.

As the major educational television and radio network in Korea, the Korean Education Broadcasting System (EBS) has been making a great contribution to improve and develop lifelong and democratic education. It also provides distance education for teacher training. I made 30hrs curriculum and content for teachers to understand 21st century skills and develope the unit plan of transferring their class.
